WELCOME TO OCTO WORLDWIDE

WHO WE ARE

OCTO WORLDWIDE is a NYC-based association of bartenders, bar owners, and alcohol enthusiasts that strive to uplift and champion the alcoholist lifestyle. We lean into the sinister costuming that associated with frequent alcohol consumption and our villainous ambition to destroy the broken and mundane elements within the hospitality industry.

We are the omnipresent hand uplifting hospitality- the shadowy cabal dedicated to a better drinking society.

We are united by alcohol exploration, education, and fellowship.

  • We indulge in libations at exceptional venues

  • We celebrate those who further the culture of service industry and hospitality

  • We empower others through information relays, educational opportunities, and networking

  • We condemn irresponsible, negligent, and abusive behavior on both sides of the bar

OCTO stands for The Office of Consumption, Toxicity, and Obliteration. Each division has distinct functions and governance but all are necessary facets of balanced alcoholist culture:

CONSUMPTION

The Department of Consumption is dedicated to exploration and adventure.

Operatives are constantly looking for the next experience. They love being on the leading edge of what's new and exciting. They can be seen at the buzz-worthy bars, ambitious distilleries, and immersive experiences. Environment and presentation have as much to do with a drink as the ingredients and they like to celebrate that.

TOXICITY

The Department of Toxicity is focused on innovation and expression.

Operatives experiment with the alchemy of mixed drinks and chase rare expressions of spirit. You usually find them collecting accolades in cocktail competitions, sipping something new at a launch party, or workshopping their latest creation. Just because alcohol is technically poison, doesn’t mean it should taste like it.

OBLITERATION

The Department of Obliteration is primarily concerned with revelry.

Operatives host events centered around camaraderie and the ancient practice of good hospitality. Nights are measured in laughter and liquor. They do it for the love of the game, without ego or getting sloppy. After all, the difference between a good night of drinking and a great night of drinking is the company you keep.
